More about staff support
One of the primary factors contributing to avoidable blindness in the developing world is the lack of trained eye care professionals. Therefore, a key to developing a successful eye program to serve the poor is to have staff who can work to transfer knowledge to their local counterparts. This requires significant time and effort as well as onsite training of the local staff. Our field workers are an essential component in the success of establishing long term eye programs for the poor in under-served regions of the world. They need our help to be able to help others. Our staff receive no income from the missions they serve and rely on donations from others who are moved to contribute to their personal support (living expenses, travel expenses, etc.). Please consider partnering with us by providing financial support for the needs of field workers while serving abroad.
