OUR MISSION

Helping the blind see by bringing the life-changing gift of sight to under-served peoples of the world

Global Eye Mission (GEM) is an international mission organization that develops clinical and surgical eye services in under-served regions of the world.  As an organization, GEM is inspired by the teachings of Jesus to serve those in need.  Through local and international partnerships we help bring sight to the blind by facilitating the development of long-term high-quality eye care for the poor. 

NIGER

Following several successful short-term projects, a partnership was formed with Danja Health Center to develop a long-term mission eye program. After more than two years of efforts to raise funds, acquire equipment, build an eye clinic and recruit staff, in 2024 the Danja Eye Unit was opened as a new facility for eye care in Niger.

INDONESIA

The goal of this long-term project is to develop a self-sustaining medical and surgical eye unit at Bethesda Mission Hospital in West Kalimantan to serve the poor of the region.

RWANDA

Eye Love Africa Mission trains African ophthalmologists, mentors ophthalmology residents and partner ophthalmologists and equips partner ophthalmologists in needy areas of Congo, Burundi and Rwanda with finances and medical equipment/supplies to provide high quality eye care to those in need.
